Last minute Christmas shopping sucks

Today at ibs, we did even less than less of less. At around 11 am, some of us even turned their computers off because that was even too boring to use. So we just sat there and talked and had some fun. We drew a pretty and funny and childish Christmas picture on the board at the wall. Have to take a picture on Monday; it looks too funny! LOL

We asked if we could go home earlier, they said yes, but apparently, "earlier" for them was later than for us. They only let us go at 2 pm. So just one hour earlier.

At 5 pm, K. picked me up, although she said she would come at 4:30, but that's K. I'm pretty much used to it by now. But this last-minute Christmas shopping wasn't really fun. She bought lots of useless stuff for her family, but well, who am I to judge. I didn't buy anything for my family, because I know they don't want me to spend money uselessly, if there's nothing special to get, you know? They don't want me to just buy something, so that I have something. I don't like that either. Sometimes, my parents don't get anything for me either and that's ok. Sometimes, they just give me money and I buy something for myself. That way, they know at least that I got something I can use and that I like. But K. still asks me every year what I got my parents, although she knows how we think about it. I think she's just making fun of me.

And K. is... I don't know. I think I realized once more that we just don't have anything in common anymore. I've known her the longest of all my friends, for like 18 years. And when we were little, we always had fun and spent much time together. But now... I think we are just really different now. She doesn't like the things I like and she doesn't understand me. Like when I told her today that I'd like to be home by 8 pm because I wanted to watch the season (and show) finale of Lipstick Jungle. She was simply like "Why do you want to go home?" and gave me that look that I hate so much. That the things that I like aren't worth a thing. Of course, everything took a little longer and I only arrived at home at almost 10 pm!

I realized once more that I don't have a real friend around here. And that makes me incredibly sad.

It's damn cold in the house again. Something with the heater again. Argh! ... But I bought the Cosmopolitan magazine today, with the Cosmo men calendar for 2010. hehe Makes me much warmer when I look at it. :-P It contains pics of Ashton Kutcher, Eric Dane, Michael Phelps, Ian Somerhalder(!), Mario Lopez, Hugh Jackman, Jared Padalecki, Bradley Cooper, Keanu Reeves, Chace Crawford, Felix Sturm and Emile Hirsch. First, I wasn't sure if I want to buy it this time again, but then I just saw Chace Crawford and bought it. *g*

I think that tomorrow might be a little hectic but then it's just the holidays ahead of us. First, we need to do some grocery shopping, then I'll decorate the Christmas tree (and hopefully then my Christmas mood will kick in, finally) and then I'll bake an apple pie. Maybe I'll even have some vanilla ice with it then. Hey, it's Christmas Eve! ;-)
