Kill me now?!

When you think there's nothing this guy could do to love him even more - he does something like this!

Again, why can't the boys come to Germany and be awesome here, as well? *sadface*

I think the secret is to get Jensen and Jason Manns. Like last year at A3, when Jensen told us about Icky and how he loved Danneel, and in the end, he put on his sunglasses and posed. I've never seen this on any US con.

But yes, I was still hoping for them to be a surprise guest, but I'm pretty sure RE hasn't even asked them. They have no money to pay for them.

I thought of them as surprise guests, too, already, but I wouldn't bet on it. Like you say, maybe they haven't even asked, and can't afford them. :(

From all they've been saying lately, they're pretty broke. Like they're still paying off from Asylum 3 and then Hellhounds tanked because it had not enough attendees, now their ticket sales are not doing as well as expected and they're already cutting down their number of guests. It was supposed to be two more for A4, now it's only Rachel Miner. And the whole "same guests at AE" thing is also only to inimize plane ticket costs. You can't tell me nobody else would have been willing to do a convention in Europe.

Also, no DVDs from A3 yet, because oooh, they demand too much money to print them. No artwork, because oooh, shipping costs. No more live bands at the events either. Yet they significantly raised the photo op prices and I'm sure coffee lounges and front row seats will be expensive now as well.

But, I mean, chances are high the Js are already in Europe at the time of the conventions, if Jensen does get married in Scotland. I'm pretty sure Jared would have come to Germany if only they'd asked him. (Maybe Jensen will actually be on his honeymoon. I could understand that.)

I heard some bad stuff about RE before, that it's not very organized and I don't know what else. But when I heard that there's gonna be an Asylum in Germany, I was definitely in! But of course, I would've loved to see Jensen and Jared, too. I mean, it's a Supernatural convention after all! And I really thought, yes, that is THE chance, maybe the one and only, to ever meet them. You know, I don't travel much and maybe I wouldn't ever go to England or the US for a convention (if I can have one here as well), so I was really looking forward to it.

Again, I so don't complain about the guests we'll have at AE but I really, really would've loved to have Jensen and Jared there too. :(

And btw, I can't imagine that they're not getting enough money from this. The tickets are really expensive and then it's only like 2,5 days (when they only start Friday evening with the meet & gree) and they're charging for everything else, too, like reserved seating. I mean, I think I paid enough already for the Diamond package and then they want 15 Euros/day for a seat? Nope, we (a friend and I) aren't gonna pay this. We'll just be quick and work the ellbows. LOL I went to a con last year (Ringcon) in Bonn, had the most expensive package, which still was 20 Euros cheaper than RE's Diamond package, AND I had reserved seating in the front rows. It was perfect.

Well, I guess I'll see how they really organized it etc. And then I have my own opinion.

Yeah, it's why I'm going, too. I mean, how crazy is it to travel for a con but not go to the one you can drive to? And I would have never booked the England convention if I'd known Germany was a definite thing. But when I booked, it was still up in the air and they didn't even know which city to have it in. - If they'd gone to Berlin or Munich, I probably wouldn't be going. Train ticket there is more expensive than my plane ticket to Birmingham.

And the thing is, the convention is still gonna be fun, because you meet fellow fangirls and have nice conversations and your rare celeb moment, whatever it will be. I was okay with A3, which was my first ever convention, even though it was the very last con from Rogue for a lot of others. I didn't know better. *lol* But I think they're doing better with organisation right now. Although the problem at A3 was just the sheer number of attendees. And we will not have that problem in Germany.

Did you see the prices for the Jus in bello con? I liked RE a little better after that. I also paid more for LA, with my seats kinda far in the back and no autographs included.

I'm not sure it's really gonna stay with €15 for the front rows though. I expect them to sell higher. However an edge seat, even if it's in the 11th row, is still better than middle with two rows in front of you. Anywhere where you can lean away from others is good. ;)

I'm sick of standing in line though. They make you leave the con room during the day and then you always have to find a new seat again, so you always have to start lining up early. It sucks up too much time.

I think I would've gone to Berlin or Munich, too. Have to buy a train ticket either way.

And yeah, I'm looking forward to meeting some of my flisters. It's always great to meet people that can squee about the same things you do! *g*

Oh, you're not going by car? I heard the connection to Bad Neuenahr is horrible. I just checked, if you'd gona via Limburg, I could have picked you up. But it looks like via Bonn is the way for you.

I'm not going to Bad Neuenahr directly. I'll leave on the 20th to Cologne and stay the night at deviltrap's and then the next day, we're going to Bad Neuenahr together. I think we'll go by car then.

I've never been to Bad Neuenahr though. And going by car? *shakes head* I don't like driving long distances (don't drive much at all actually). I think I'd always ride shotgun with Dean. hehe

Ah, okay. That works. :)

But yeah, I hear you. I'm not much of a driver, either. I mean, I like singing along to music blasting in my car, but if I have to go somewhere I've never been before, or drive to Frankfurt, I get all sweaty and nervous. But I got a navi for Christmas last year, so I'm hoping for the best. And Bad Neuenahr doesn't sound like Frankfurt, where it's very easy to take one wrong exit and get all lost. *lol*

(Although I checked for me, and it's about 2 hours by train and only €15,50. I consider taking it after all. *lol* But I think the problem will be to get back home on Sunday.)

What? Only 15 Euros!!?? O_O So cheap! Mostly, I have to pay like 50 and then they say that the best price. Yeah right! :-\ In the commercials, they always say, "Through Germany for only 19 Euros" bla bla... I've never seen such a ticket. Grr...

Yeah, I don't think anyone ever got a €19 ticket. For me though it's cheap because there's no ICE involved. It'd be two normal trains and a bus. Ironically it takes just as long via ICE, because I'd have to travel around first. With the normal train, it pretty much goes straight to Bad Neuenahr. map24.de told me I'd have to drive over 2 hours by car, so, hmmmm....

I'll definitely go by train. Easiest for me. And I won't go back that Sunday night. deviltrap took Monday off and I have no job right now, so I'm free and can go home on Monday then. Relaxed, maybe calmer after the weekend LOL and after another night at her house. ;)

Wasn't Monday a public holiday? I think I remember posting that on the community. Or maybe it's just in RLP? Which would include Cologne... Wasn't it Pfingsten?

But yeah, I'm only leaving Sunday because that saves me the cost of one more night in the hotel. Otherwise I'm dreading the long drive since I'm bound to be tired.

Haha, yeah, or the trains/busses to bad Neuenahr won't be stuffed. Usually: passengers: 1, now passengers: 50+. *lol*

Usually they're fine on holidays though. Not many people take the train then, IMO.

haha Yeah, and their faces are... o.O LOL

I hope it'll be ok. There always seems to be something. Either a delay or then there's something with the train itself... :-\
