Tonight the sweet devil's got my soul

I totally love Melissa Etheride's song "Bring me some water". Heard it on the radio a few days ago for the first time and I thought it was a new one, but apparently it's from the early 90's! o.O Anyway, cool song!

Had to work today. *grumble* But only half a shift, so it was ok. But omg, it was so boooriiing! I almost fell asleep! To me, those four hours felt worse and more boring than a normal 8 hour shift. But now it's the weekend! Really now.

Baked more coconut macaroons today, and also tried mini cinnamon snails for the first time - and they're yummy! I have a weakness for puff pastry (okay, I had to have my translation site translate this for me LOL). I think I found that recipe last year already but totally forgot about it. Then I remembered and didn't find it anywhere. And the other day, I remembered it again - and funny, then I found the recipe, too. More baking will be done tomorrow, then it's gonna be "Bethmännchen". I have no idea if you have a word for that in English. It's a pastry made from marzipan with almond, powdered sugar, flour, and egg, as far as I remember. Haven't done it in years.

Watched some more Legend of the Seeker last night. I've officially fallen for Craig Horner. *g*

Oh, and did I mention that my boss gave me some of her books to read the other day? Before, she had asked me if I get bored at night but I told her that when I have a book, all's good. And then she told me that she loves to read, as well, and when I mentioned that I also like Nora Roberts' books, she immediately mentioned to get some out for me. And a few days ago, she gave me Nora Roberts' Ireland trilogy and I started the first book today. Who wants to trade bosses? I don't. *g*

Speaking of books. I also read the Supernatural novel "Heart of the Dragon" and on Goodreads.com I wrote a small review about it. Before I read this, I had read so many bad reviews and feared that I wouldn't like it either, but I did. But of course, I also got some things that I didn't like, but I liked most of it.

Many complained that Dean and Sam weren't featured enough in the book, but I have to say I loved the "flashbacks" to 1969 and 1989! It was great to see how the Campbells and later also John faced the Heart of the Dragon, and then eventually, Dean and Sam did, as well. I could well imagine how they reviewed the previous cases.

Though, I thought that some stories could have been left out and I wouldn't have missed them. Like background stories of victims that wouldn't survive the next page anyway.

But all in all, it was a nice read.
